Here is some other work that I did for a few of my games. But, you should visit my itch.io page to play!

My 2022 Video Game Portfolio:

Moments in Mia's

My role: Narrative Designer / Lead Game Writer / Editor

When society was still learning how to navigate the ongoing pandemic, a new job at a local store creates an opportunity to learn more about the small community surrounding it. You, the player, will be able to discover the stories of your customers and coworker as you stock shelves and sell items. From dealing with loss to navigating life's purpose, you can guide people through the perils that they face, often just by lending a helpful ear.

All just in a few moments in Mia's.

The Fate of An Unlovable Man

Narrated By The Loveliest Man On Earth ;D

My role: Narrative Designer / Game Writer / Artist / Producer.

Johnny has done poorly in life and it seems like fate will be turning sour for him. How dreary… So, I, Waldo, out of the kindness of my heart, have decided to let you play for his fate. Feeling lucky? :)

“The Fate of An Unlovable Man” is an interactive branching short story game created for the GMTK Game Jam 2022. You may re-read it multiple times in order to get different endings.

Moments in Mia's (Raina)_edited_edited_edited.jpg

Raina

A shy girl, who runs from social interactions. After getting to know her and closing the gap between you both, you surprise her by hosting a book signing with her favorite author. If you unlock her ending, she opens up to you about a rape experience, and you begin to mend her ability to trust.

My favorite scene: Her unlockable ending

Moments in Mia's (Drew's storyline)_edited.jpg

Drew (& Stella)

An elementary school boy and his goofball, little sister are regular customers at Mia's, but they never come in with a parent. You soon learn that Drew has to take up a lot of responsibilities for his age, like caring for his sister and dad. While he tries to act all tough, he is still a temperamental and exhausted kid, who needs time to grow up. Your job is to give them back their childhood.

My favorite scenes: The dog on the loose & Christmas in Mia's scenes

I wrote and edited the entire script for this game in a day and a half for GMTK 2022. The programmer copied and pasted my writing into the game. I am proud of how well the story and writing turned out in the time I had to work on it, but I would make the good endings more positive if I could do it over again. The  diagram I gave to my programmer is also included on this script, and it can be used to explain the sequence of the scenes. (There are six different endings.)

I planned out the game on this document, breaking down the setting, characters, motives, and what happens in each scene.
